  • To design a transport system that enables hot billet transport between steelworks and rolling mill
  • To certify and legalize the design for traffic on conventional external roads
  • To minimize the loss of temperature of the billets during the journey

RESULTS

  • A trailer was designed and manufactured to transport 25 t of completely isolated billet
  • The unit was certified as suitable for travelling on conventional roads
  • Interior temperature losses are near-zero
  • Flexible system for loading and unloading with a bridge crane
  • Significant savings in gas consumption
